Philip Robert James has over thirty years experience as an attorney in Colorado. He has practiced in almost every area of law, with a continuing emphasis on trial practice. His father and great-uncle were attorneys. He was born in Denver. His family is rooted in Colorado. Seven generations of his family live or have lived in Colorado.
Legal ActivitiesMr. James has been a member of the Colorado Bar Association for thirty years, the CBA Ethics Committee for twenty-six years, was the chair of the Ethics Committee Telephone Hotline Sub-Committee for twenty years, is past President of the Arraj Inn of Court, past Chair of the CBA Juvenile Law Section, past chair of the Colorado-Wyoming Inns Summit, past president of the (original) Law Club, part-time Denver County Magistrate, has written many articles, spoken on many occasions to attorneys, and been an expert witness on the topics of evidence, ethics, dependency and neglect, guardians ad litem, and mental health defense.
